Daily Journal:

Thursday, 7/29 - The morning started with a little rain as we traveled through the plains of Montana toward Alberta, Canada.  Crossing the border into Canada was interesting but time consuming even though we found a really out of the way border crossing.  I guess 9/11 really made everyone get serious about everyone entering their country... passports and everything... they really didn't even seem to interested in our Model T's?

Since the travel time was short, only 140 miles, and level, no really big hills to climb, we got to Lethbridge in time to do a little sightseeing before dinner.  While visiting the Japanese Garden we got caught in a rain/hail storm that lasted about 30 minutes.  Fortunately, we were able to wait out the storm in a gazebo with some really nice ladies (sisters) from Canada.

The gold fields that you see in the pictures is Canola.

Daily Miles: 140
Accumulative Miles Since Billings, MT: 699
